The second generation of the family-friendly Kia Sedona offered improvements in terms of motorisation. Now a 2.7-liter V6 unit was used that developed 189 hp. The KIA Sedona 2.9 diesel with common rail technology offered 185 hp and consumed little: an average of 7.8 litres of diesel, the gasoline engine took a little more. The gearbox consisted of a five-speed gearbox, automatic was only available at an additional cost.
As standard there was a solid safety equipment, six airbags, active headrests, belt tensioners, ABS and ESP were offered. In addition, an air conditioning system, electric windows front and rear, an immobilizer and an anti-theft alarm system were installed ex works.
