Here you will find a comprehensive overview of the cars in the Mercedes-Benz EQ-Class, including details about their towing capacity, size, engine, equipment and other useful information about each car model.

Is the Mercedes EQC A Good Tow Car For Pulling a Caravan?

Although Mercedes does not have an air suspension, the steel suspension with leveling on the rear axle ensures a high level of driving comfort. The EQC impresses even more with its almost silent drive. Nothing can be heard from the hum of the electric motors. Daimler elaborately decouples the two 150kW asynchronous units: both sit in a frame that is flexibly connected to the body. With a total of 300kW, the engines also ensure powerful acceleration. From a standing start, it vehemently presses the occupants into their seats at full power, and even at the recommended motorway speed, the acceleration is more than sovereign. The EQC is limited to 180km/h. With a battery capacity of 80kWh, the range of 450km should only be achievable under extremely favourable conditions and an extremely leisurely driving style.

Is the Mercedes EQA A Good Tow Car?

Mercedes actually had high hopes for the EQC, but it sold rather slowly: the SUV was too big and too expensive for some buyers. That shouldn't happen to the EQA, as it is more of a compact electric SUV. With a length of 4.46m and a width of 1.83m, the EQA is around average for its class. The competition here is particularly fierce: Mazda MX-30, VW ID.4, Opel Mokka-e, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Audi Q4 e-Tron and Tesla Model Y are all excellent tow cars in this SUV segment. What is still considered "compact" is definitely a matter of interpretation. The smallest is the Opel Mokka-e, which scratches the small car limit with a length of 4.15m. The largest is the Tesla Model Y, which at 4.78m is more than 30 centimeters longer than the Mercedes EQA. Mazda MX-30 (4.39 meters), Volvo XC40 Recharge (4.43 meters) and VW ID.4 (4.58 meters) are closer. If you are looking for the towing capacity for a Mercedes Benz EQC car then we're here to help. The towing capacity is a term used to describe the maximum weight of a trailer a Mercedes Benz EQC car can tow. There may be certain models of Mercedes Benz EQC car that cannot be used to tow a trailer. These will be highlighted with 'N KG' in the below list of Mercedes Benz EQC towing weights.

For those models of Mercedes Benz EQC where towing is allowed, we have detailed the Mercedes Benz EQC towing capacity for a braked trailer (this is when the trailer being towed has its own breaking system). To ensure you are both safe and legal it is really important that you check the Mercedes Benz EQC towing weight limit for the car.

How Much Can A Mercedes Benz EQA Tow?

For a long time, camping fans had to look around for an alternative tractor to the Stromer. The electric cars were simply overwhelmed with too much weight. That is changing with the current generation of electric SUVs. Even the entry-level EQA with front-wheel drive pulls up to 750kg with or without brakes. The two models with all-wheel drive are more powerful and can tow loads of up to 1800kg / 1.8 ton. The electric SUV is thus in the range of a potent diesel.

A look at the competitors shows that very few competitors are as strong as the Mercedes EQA. Mazda MX-30 and Opel Mokka-e are not approved as towing vehicles. Tesla's Model Y manages a maximum of 1600kg (1.6t), the Audi Q4 e-Tron 1000kg (1 ton), the VW ID.4 a maximum of 1400kg.

Mercedes EQS Towing Capacity

Towing a trailer with the Mercedes EQS seems a bit unimaginable, as it completely destroys the elegant look of the sedan. But it is possible to tow a trailer up to a maximum of 750kg - regardless of whether it is braked or unbraked which is quite low. Still more than with the Model S, which is not available with a trailer hitch as standard. Combustion engines in the S-Class are still best suited as a towing vehicle.
