Ssangyong Actyon Towing Capacity & Weight

If someone ever tells you that BMW X6 was the world's first coupe SUV and all the others that followed are copycats, please don't believe them. In reality, SsangYong had already introduced the Actyon coupe crossover in 2005, way before the Germans. Admittedly, the Actyon may not have been a head-turner (and that's putting it mildly), while the X6 isn't exactly inconspicuous either. Furthermore, there are very few images of the Actyon's rear three-quarter, and the name "Actyon" is a cringe-worthy mashup of "action" and "young." Despite all these flaws, we believe SsangYong deserves credit for being a true trailblazer in the automotive industry, even though we still struggle to comprehend the appeal of the coupe SUV segment.

In its first generation, the Actyon was offered with both petrol and diesel engine choices, and buyers could choose between two- or four-wheel drive. It's worth noting that the Actyon even had a two-wheel drive option, which was quite innovative for a coupe SUV. If the Actyon were to be released today, it would undoubtedly be a hit, given how ahead of its time it was.

The Ssangyong Actyon Sports boasts an impressive towing capacity of up to 2300kg, which is the braked figure. For vehicles not equipped with trailer brakes, the maximum load is typically limited to 750kg, assuming the vehicle is rated to tow that weight in the first place. It's also worth noting that the weight can be expressed in kilos as well as kilograms, and if you prefer tonnes, simply divide the kg figure by 1000. However, before attempting to tow anything with your car, ute, van, SUV, or 4x4, be sure to consult the manufacturer or your owner's manual to ensure that your Ssangyong Actyon Sports is capable of towing as much as indicated here.
