Nissan Ariya Towing Capacity & Weight

The Nissan Ariya has been available to order since April 2022. Initially drivers were only able to order the front-wheel drive Ariya with 160 kW and a small battery. There is now also a second front-wheel drive version with slightly more power and a larger battery and an all-wheel drive version with 225 kW and the large battery. The four-wheel drive vehicle with a small battery that is offered in Japan is not offered in Europe or UK. There is still no information about the 290 kW performance version with all-wheel drive for the USA.

The basic equipment has only a single- phase 7.4 kW on-board charger as standard. The basic version can be equipped with a three-phase 22 kW on-board charger for a surcharge. This is standard on all other versions. With the fast AC charger, the smaller battery can be charged from 10% to 100% in 3.5 hours, the larger one in 5 hours. All versions can also be charged as standard with 130 kW direct current. A loading stroke from 20% to 100% should take 28 or 30 minutes. The two versions with the large battery get the Evolve Pack with Bose sound system, head-up display, rear-view mirror display and electric panoramic roof as standard. Instead of the standard 19-inch wheels, there are 20-inch aluminum rims for a surcharge. Thanks to the large 77 kWh battery, the basic version has a range of 544 km, which is significantly higher than that of the Nissan, but the drive power of 128 kW is much lower.

If you are looking for the towing capacity for a Nissan Ariya car then we're here to help. The towing capacity is a term used to describe the maximum weight of a trailer a Nissan Ariya car can tow. There may be certain models of Nissan Ariya car that cannot be used to tow a trailer. These will be highlighted with 'N KG' in the below list of Nissan Ariya towing weights.

For those models of Nissan Ariya where towing is allowed, we have detailed the Nissan Ariya towing capacity for a braked trailer (this is when the trailer being towed has its own breaking system). To ensure you are both safe and legal it is really important that you check the Nissan Ariya towing weight limit for the car.

As well as providing the braked towing capacity for your Nissan Ariya, where data is available we also have also listed the Nissan Ariya's unbraked towing capacity.

Here is a full list of the Unbraked and Braked Towing Capacity for the Nissan Ariya. If you cannot find the Nissan Ariya you are looking for please drop us a email and we will add this to the list.

Can The Nissan Ariya Tow A Caravan?

The Nissan Ariya (2022) will be available with five different drives that can be combined almost freely and have different technical data. Three versions will initially be available when orders start in April 2022: The basic model has a 63 kWh battery that feeds a 160 kW (218 hp) electric motor with a torque of 300 Newton meters on the front axle. The range should be up to 420 kilometers according to WLTP. The same battery can also be ordered later with the "e-4orce" all-wheel drive, which can distribute the drive torque not only between the front and rear axles, but also on the right and left. Then the Ariya has 205 kW (279 hp) and 560 Newton meters of torque.

The Ariya comes next with the 87 kWh battery that can already be ordered, which is available with 178 kW (242 hp) (300 Nm) or as an all-wheel drive with 225 kW (306 hp) (600 Nm). Their ranges are up to 530 and up to 490 kilometers respectively. Nissan offers the pre-sale models with a large battery exclusively with the Evolve Pack and at prices starting at 59,900 (2WD) or 62,990 euros (AWD) (as of April 2022). The top model - also with an 87 kWh battery - is to follow at a later date and is called "Performance". It delivers 290 kW (394 hp, 600 Nm) and accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. Nissan specifies the range of the performance Ariya as a maximum of 400 kilometers (WLTP). The top version as well as the 225 kWh all-wheel drive version can take up to 1500 kilograms on the hook. By the way, while the front-wheel drive variants are limited to a top speed of 160 km/h, the all-wheel drive vehicles are granted a top speed of 200 km/h. The Nissan Ariya (2022) masters three-phase charging via the CCS plug that is common in Europe - with up to 22 kW at the home wall box or with up to 130 kW at public fast charging stations.
